Generally lovely things our drinkers have said in 2006
I just wanted to say that I have one of your Innocent smoothie's for breakfast all most everyday, however I just finished off the rest of my breakfast carton a minute ago and took the time to read all the information....................and you have made my day! Such a simple idea but it makes the world of difference as I now feel so loyal to Innocent that I shall never buy any other brand of smoothie..EVER! Hope you have a nice day & thank you again.

I think the people at fruity towers put magic into their smoothies (and thickies!) They'd make me feel better even if my mum died! Which I really hope doesn't happen! Anyway your smoothies (and thickies!) are WONDERFULl!!!!! Claire aged 10 ½, 30 April '06
I had to email to tell you how much I love your orange juice. See everyone is going crazy over the smoothies, and call me boring but the fresh juice, the bits, wow it's a bit like a summer's day in a bottle. So over here in Ireland, which is a lovely country if we could only roof it, we don't get many summers days so I like to buy a bottle of juice in my local Dunnes Stores (tesco stock your smoothies but no orange juice), and yum, the sun comes out under my umbrella. Also when I have a bit of a hangover I find that your fresh orange juice works wonders, I can almost feel the boost, and hey presto my eyes can focus once again. But I guess a hangover cure is not a very good marketing angle .... Keep the little anecdotes on the label, I love them and read them religiously, I feel like I am already family but just to be sure I joined on innocentdotcodotuk. Would you like me to send a sample of blood, so we could be like, blood brothers or something? Your no 1 orange juice fan. LJ, Ireland, 20 April '06
Thanks - what a great fun way to get fruit into my 2 young children - its even encouraged Mum & Dad too! YJ-R, 20 April '06
Thank you, thank you, and thank you. I have always eaten at least 3 pieces of fruit every day for as long as I can remember but last May just before my 49th birthday I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. This has now taken my voice completely and made eating a lot of fruit difficult to swallow. I have now discovered your smoothies and can only say I am delighted to have fruit back in my life, you cannot know how happy you have made me, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone there. Hope you all have a good day!! GA, 20 April '06
Just in case I need to say more to butter you up; if Innocent smoothies were a beautiful woman, I would ravish her every morning. Alas my wife is neither beautiful or an innocent smoothie, so I'll stuck to our annual consumations for now. At least until I can afford a blender. AH, 3 April '06
Erm this is very strange, but at the moment I am euphorically happy and so don't really mind telling a complete stranger about my brother, Jim. Jim is 21, and really is an all-round freakishly lovely guy. We both go to the same uni, he is working hard to become a history teacher, and was recently training to become a "mentor" in our area of Glasgow whereby kids from the surrounding housing schemes come to meet at the same place and even though they aren't expected to hug and kiss each other, it definitely has a positive impact on the problems the police have with gangs and territorialism. Anyway, this was all until 2 Wednesdays ago, when Jim was taken to hospital … So far he has been in 4 different wards, and has undergone an ileostomy. A doctor suddenly said to my mum, dad, me and Graham (Jim's identical twin) that sometimes this condition can become life threatening. And this didn't seem fair at all because up until this point we all thought he had an upset tummy that just wouldn't go away. And how could he be this ill anyway because he didn't smoke (too smelly), take drugs (bad for his image with the girls) and didn't really drink because he was training to be a boxer and fatty alcohol like lager and beer was a no-no and vodka and orange was a girls drink so it was just orange juice in a big manly glass. Today is Saturday, he had the surgery on Monday, and by Tuesday was really, really missing his food. Which was difficult for us all as now his diet has to be strictly controlled, although smoothies are allowed and highly recommended as its the most comfortable way to digest fruit at the minute. So as soon as he was allowed to eat on Wednesday I took him 2 innocent smoothies, and really I wanted to (had to) send this random email to some random email address that for all I know may never be read, because Jim smiled for the first time in weeks when he drank his smoothie. He said it was wonderful, and that he couldn't wait to get out of hospital and get back to cycling to the gym for a work out (he seriously is that scary sort of fit person). And a little off shoot of this story that still has me on a high is that my mum has gone out and bought a smoothie maker, and can't believe how nice it is that each innocent smoothie comes with a list of all the fruits in it. So although it's not gonna be enough to put you out of business, mum is having a go herself. If you have read this far thank you, but really seriously if this is a person reading this and not some kind of machine that will generate mass email adverts, thank you, genuinely thank you. It has been an awful time for us, and a difficult time for Jim to take in the impact his ileostomy will have upon his thus far perfect appearance. But now he smiles more and more often, and I just wanted to say thank you for getting the ball rolling. Thank you thank you thank you. AM, 1 April '06
Fab drinks, fab website, fab environmental concerns - I have just slurped my way through a delicious carton of Cranberry & Raspberry smoothie and have now emailed my local council to see why they don't recycle Tetra Paks! Give yourselves all a HUGE pat on the back, there really should be more companies like you. JS, Newcastle, 29 March '06
Being a man, it's not easy to say this usually but it just comes out naturally when it is heartily felt, I love you guys! Can't get enough of both the humour and juice. Wish you a heavenly day. AD, 29 March '06
My lovely 15 year old daughter Isabelle, had major reconstructive surgery on her jaw on Tuesday this week. She is now very swollen and her teeth have nearly all been removed so eating is an issue. THANK GOD for your smoothies!! I don't know what I would be able to get her to eat in hospital (and for the next several months) if it weren't for you. Hospital food that has been through the blender is even worse than you can imagine! We are working our way through every Innocent flavour we can get our hands on and you're making life so much more interesting for her!; I can hardly munch away at Izsi's bedside, so have been on a 'detox' myself by joining her in her smoothie drinking. I am sure we will both benefit. Thank you from both of us. PC, 24 March '06
Thanks for bringing a little light and love into a world swamped by choked and Coke'd up multinationals. I'm staying Innocent. KK, 23 March '06
The best drink I've ever tasted in my life. (I'm only 11) Unknown, 21 March '06
I just wanted to send a message to say how much we love your website & of course your drinks! KF, 14 March '06
I simply wish to inform you that I love your drinks and that your doing a very good job. I especially love your smoothies. It is nice to know that when I drink your smoothies I drink pure liquid fruit and nothing else. Not very long ago at all I just had a nice big drink of your strawberry and banana smoothie and it was very tasty, refreshing and healthy. I'm so glad at least some companies don't use all those bad things in their drinks. So just a little thank you for your smoothies from me. Ryan W, aged 12, 11 March '06
Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how wonderful your new drinks are. I'm recommending them to everyone here at work, to my family and all my friends! It is so refreshing to have a smoothie drink without all the preservatives and other cr*p normally included. I have a juicer at home which I use at night but of course I miss out on all the pulp and don't get the full benefit of the fruit & veg. Now I drink 2 or 3 glasses a day of 'innocence' and feel better for it. Some may think it's a bit pricey but I say you get what you pay for and it's worth every penny. Working in a customer care department I know that people are quick enough to complain about anything but much slower at coming forward with compliments so well done! AK, 19 January '06
It started with … a little bottle from Tesco and a traffic jam, the wording is amusing thought I or maybe its hysteria, but its jolly nice so who cares and double bonus its healthy too. As our relationship progressed one a week, all alone a lunch time treat, I read you are one of the best companies to work for in the UK. Good for you ! it seems fun, healthy and people get paid for working there. A newcomer to recycling I have found your website tips on what to do with cartons most helpful and am inspired to write to the local authority re tetra pack. My daughter loves your very rude website for kids and is busy with her 5 a day poster for you. SL, 18 January '06
Hi Innocent *waves* just like to thank you for your amazing drinks, I'm currently at weight watchers (yes I'm a fat bird, what can I say I got pregnant and used it as an excuse to stuff my face) and I have a glass of your smoothie in the mornings because I can't face eating first thing, they are cool and refreshing and make me feel good. Thank you for making my life easy ;-) DK, 18 January '06
Just want to say how fab ur drinks are, they crack me up when I'm sitting on the train and reading the comments on the side of the bottle. Plus, to be honest its the only fruit I get (really bad I know) and I feel like I'm doing something good! So thanks! I'm a final year student and currently going insane, so thanks for keeping me smiling. FW, 18 January '06
Hello innocent, I'm 40 yrs old and 12mths ago stopped smoking. So as so many other people do they put on weight and so did I. Now Xmas has gone I have started a diet and exercise plan I've joined a local leisure club. Now because I'm not a big fresh fruit lover (certain ones I enjoy but only in moderation) I saw your ad on TV the other day so I made a point of going to Morrisons to get your smoothies so I get a daily intake of fruit. Well what can I say I think it is wonderful they taste superb I have at least two glasses a day and the cartons are fantastic I love them the wording on them and the layout is great. I can assure you I will continue to buy your products even after I've lost my weight and could you tell Joe and his apple he's doing a fine job and I've also joined the innocent family I love it that much. Thank you very much and keep making it. JJ, Hereford, 18 January '06
After years of unsuccessfully trying to encourage my son to eat fruit (he is 13 now), I have discovered Innocent fruit smoothies. He has changed beyond recognition. He really enjoys your smoothies and his favourite at the moment is Mango and Passion fruit, two fruits he would have been physically sick over if I'd put them in front of him in the past. So thank you so much for making life a bit easier for me and he is so proud of himself that he is actually now taking part in the 5 fruits a day recommendation. Keep up the good work and I for one will continue to buy your gorgeous smoothies. P.S. I like them too. SR, 18 January '06
Picture the scene. Fat bloke, 33, always on a diet yet as soon as he stops he piles the weight back on..........blah blah blah. Well, just before Christmas I decided that I'd had enough. I wanted to implement a whole new lifestyle change. I visited the doctors and we went through various things which all seemed reasonable - make sure I have breakfast, don't eat after 7pm etc etc ....... then the dreaded words 'eat lots of fruit!!!' This was like a knife through the heart - you see I don't like fruit....it tastes, well, the texture is just like I imagine cardboard to taste. That's where you guys come in - THANK YOU - I purchased a carton (under duress initially) and absolutely love it. Since boxing day I have lost 12lb, feel great, have soooo much more energy and am determined that this time, I will become 'Thin Man' again. I have a glass of Innocent three times a day. The first one sets me up for the day, the second staves off any hunger pains early afternoon and the third fills me up for the evening. I'm still scared of fruit in its basic form, but you guys have enabled me to tackle it in a different way. Its not the sole reason I've lost the weight, but its definitely a major contributory factor. Keep up the good work. CS, 18 January '06
WOW WOW WOW!!! You are magic. I am hooked, and what a relief!! I have discovered 'Cranberry and Raspberry' heaven and never want to return to earth! Now I thought you were just geniuses cos you have a cool and delish pomegranate yum winter drink that no one else has got anywhere near being clever enough to think up, (why doesn't anyone else use pomegranate??? ahead of your time guys!!!), and now I have discovered that you are also showing off with the Cranberry and Raspberry addictive juice. Seriously, what makes that so good? I was so excited to see it on offer at half price in Sainsbury's that I went a bit mad and struggled home with way too many in my bags and now have very long arms. But that was ok til it all ran out this morning!!! So really I just want to say thank you thank you. I want to be part of the family and I am hereby devoting myself to your yummy smoothies (although they hurt my wallet sometimes and I have to be very forgiving and not get angry with them!) You guys are the best! THANK YOU. ST, London, 18 January '06
Hello to you, I have only just recently tried your smoothies, I am hooked, they are wonderful. This afternoon I listened to the interview on Radio 4, you sound as good as your drinks! Today I tried the detox one, I hasten to add I'm not a drinker or smoker, just thought it sounded good, I wasn't disappointed, what a beautiful flavour. All the very best to you, it was certainly a brilliant idea. MW, 18 January '06
Hello, and thank you. You have just delivered me from a fate worse than death. On Sunday I purchased my very first carton of Innocent Smoothie. I chose pineapples, bananas and coconut, in all honesty because it might taste a tad like a pina colada. It is divine and is also all gone. So I am just off to the shops to buy some more. I am a convert. A convert from Coke!! Oh yes - the 'Fate worse than death'? I am constantly nagged for not eating fruit. I don't like it; it gets stuck in your teeth and is far too messy. But now I just have to shake the carton in the direction of the nagger and walk smugly away. Ha! Does Dr. Joe have a fan club? Just joking. But maybe he should have!! You are all doing a splendid job and I will be buying your smoothies from now on. I will also be spreading the words of wisdom to all my friends. GD, 17 January '06
I love ya, what an awesome marketing team you have, breakfast is so much fun, reading your cartons sets me up for the day, who thinks of those ideas? The 'keep Britain tidy' had me laughing all day. I'm so glad your company is going from strength to strength so to all those critics who thought you would go under with a year, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha to all the blah blah blah to all the rubbish that came out of their mouths.Kev, Chester, 17 January '06
I was chatting with my housemates the other day and we realised we were probably in the top 10 percent of ace people in the world. We think you're all in there too. JH, 17 January '06
In 47 years, I reckon I might have eaten about 47 pieces of fruit in total - I can't be doing with the hassle. About a week ago, I saw your TV ad and thought, 'I'll give that a try.' Not only have I now been taking my 'recommended' daily fruit intake for 4 days (and it's no hassle at all!), but I'm also still enjoying your advert! Now I've been accused of being a sad old git more than once, but with all that fruit and groovy adverts, I pretty much felt as if my cup was brim-full of all that's good. I was wrong. I have just spent a fabulous 10 minutes reading ALL of the print on your cartons. People in the shop were beginning to stare, so I bought a carton of each flavour and brought them home to read! That'll show those idiots who reckon I'm sad!!! Anyway, a fab product, and absolutely inspired advertising & packaging. Thanks for the fruit and the humour. DS, aged 47½, Preston, 16 January '06
I just wanted to let you know how fabulous you guys are. I absolutely love your smoothies and if they were a man then I would marry him. I buy your drinks all the time and I feel more healthy because of it. I have also become part of your innocent family and I downloaded the super-cool screensaver. I'm also going to buy one of your fabulous t-shirts when I next get paid. Thanks for your time, I just wanted to say I love you guys and keep up the good work!!!!!!! NS, 13 January '06
Thank you... from the mum of a 12 year old boy who claimed he was allergic to fruits! He can't get enough of your smoothies and Mum specially likes them being on special offer at Sainsbury's! Mrs Frearson, 12 January '06
One day last week, I forgot to bring my daily Innocent smoothie into work so popped out at lunch time to buy one. Picture the scene, I was late for a meeting, needed my smoothie, the shop was very busy and worst of all I was having a bad hair day. To top it all the shop didn't have any of your yummy ones, so to my shame I bought a ‘Pete & Johnny’s’ one instead. No one will ever know I thought! How wrong can I be…….I&'ve got one word to describe it…… yuk! No funny words on the side, they used concentrate and no message for me and Emma to read on the bottom. How is that supposed to brighten our day, we rely on the ‘bottom’ words of wisdom to help us through the day. I've even quoted one in a meeting! HW, 11 January '06
Hello I just thought I'd email you and tell you how great you are. I love your smoothies and I think you're the best thing I've discovered since 85% coco chocolate bars and that's saying something for a woman. I couldn't believe it when I saw your detox smoothie in the supermarket just before Christmas. I was going to write and ask for some kids smoothies but, then I went to Waitrose in Hythe and saw you already did them. I had tried to get my daughters to drink your other smoothies but they didn't like the bits and when one of them saw that it had a woolly jumper in it she believed it. One of my daughter's now takes a kids smoothie to school every day. She tells my other daughter that she will not like them and that you can really taste the banana in them (she doesn't like banana) so that she can have them all to herself. AD, 11 January '06
My boyfriend and I were out with some of his friends and one girl was really brazen and said to me 'so then, what is it that you two have in common?'...so I thought for a second and said 'well smoothies for a start!' I'm addicted to your packaging and have to have it around because it's friendly...and I can fit 4 smoothie pouches into my handbag...which is just enough for a hard day of lectures (well fairly hard....). May you always make lovely drinks and be so nice. JC, 11 January '06
You don't know me. I've just had my 1st ever Innocent smoothie and I'm an addict already. You must have a secret ingredient, what is it? Is it squirrels? Have you put squirrels in? You should be ashamed. PS. Well done on a superb product. You're going to get very rich. AC, 10 January '06
I am putting pen to paper to say thank you for your excellent product “innocent.” I am a coeliac, totally allergic to lactose and chemicals used in food and drink. I make almost everything I eat. Oh the joy of a product that is so pure. Please keep up the good work. SS, South Molton, 7 January '06
Your drink is new to me, even at this late stage, but I love the non-patronizing, no b-s stuff on the outside of the carton, and adorrrred the fruity stuff inside. Wow! I loved it, and to this fizzy-drink addicted moron, you did something. I am now just a smoothie-addicted moron. Thanks. Unknown, 6 January '06
I first had my first innocent experience one cold December day, how it changed my day and the rest of the week. The taste of pineapples, bananas and coconuts gave me an experience I could only dream about, blue skies, clear blue sea and white sands. I was able to try this wonderful product because they were on offer at Sainsbury's Stafford, I have introduced it as part of my diet for the new year. Perhaps your comments on the back of the pack re. make you attractive to the opposite sex, might just work as I have been on my own for 5 years, fingers crossed. I will keep on trying the experience with other flavours.; Wonderful. SA, Stafford, January '06
